GANESH VISARJAN LETS SILIGURI TO EXPERIENCE A MUMBAI FLAVOR

Webdesk, TNI Siliguri, 09^th September, 2016: Ganesh Utsav came to an end in Siliguri with the Ganesh Visharjan rally catapulted into a mini carnival at Siliguri. Over the years Ganesh Utsav had gained popularity in Siliguri and suburbs. Though the biggest draw i.e. Bidhan Market Ganesh Puja Committee stays for 10 days is yet to go for immersion. From the evening Hill Cart road up to Mahananda Bridge turned into a Ganesh Carnival with puja committees bringing their Ganesh idols for immersions. In some point, Siliguri seemed to turn into Maharastra with dhols, drums played in Marathi tunes throughout. However, the micro Mumbai feel is not bad enough.
